You can easily trace old pension pots using the GOV UK website. This service will find relevant contact details for you, so you can get in touch with the employer administrator and unearth your pension details.
For this, you just need to know the current or previous name of the company you worked for.
When you contact your previous employer, you will need your national insurance number. It’s also beneficial to have a vague idea of the dates you worked there in order to help the process along.
